You could make huge savings by switching to energy saving lighting (LEDs)
Lighting accounts for 8% of a typical household’s energy bills, so changing to energy saving lighting is one of the easiest things you can do to reduce your bills.
LED is the most energy efficient form of lighting you can install. The bulbs last longer than any others – according to the Energy Saving Trust up to 50,000 hours – and could give the average home a saving of 70-80% over the course of a year.
We offer a free survey for all households
Take advantage of a free survey by our electrical engineers and you could see how much you could save each year.
We’ll look at the energy you currently use and make recommendations to help you switch to energy saving lighting in the most cost-effective way.
Switching to LED will mean an initial financial outlay, but it will start paying for itself within 15 months and you could make savings of hundreds of pounds every year.
About LED lighting:
- Led bulbs use diodes (solid electronic devices) that emit light as the electricity flows through it
- You can replace a 40W traditional bulb with a 4W LED – it will be brighter and more efficient because you’re saving 36W per hour of electricity
- Replacing just one bulb can save you £3 a year
- One of our customers – a haulage company – switched to LED lighting and reduced its electricity bill from £35,000 to £12,000 a year!
